When presented with a cocktail menu, I just canโt help but order a whiskey drink. An Old Fashioned, Manhattan, a well-made Whiskey Sour or any spin on the above. Iโm a whiskey girl. Always have been, always will be.
Naturally, when I spied the โcinnamon maple sourโ on the menu at a local bar the other day, I had to order it. I liked it so much that I had to recreate it at home.
Watch How to Make Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour
This whiskey sour recipe is sweetened with maple syrup, which tastes so much more interesting than basic simple syrup. The recipe includes plenty of fresh lemon juice and a hefty pinch of ground cinnamon, which offers some warming flavor for cold winter days. You can skip the cinnamon, though, if you would like a classic whiskey sour.
This is my last post before I take off for the holidays. Be merry and be safe! I appreciate you all so much for hanging out with me here and cooking my recipes in your kitchens.

Just made this! Yum-O!
Delicious! So very good!
Thank you for your review, Gayla!
I read all the comments and then set about to make this! I used Knob Creek and a fresh lemon. It was so sour!!
So then I tinkered a little (poor me, having to keep trying bourbon), and here is the ratio I ended with that turned it DELICIOUS:
3/4 oz bottled lemon juice
3/4 oz maple syrup
1.5 oz bourbon
*Sizeable* dash of cinnamon.
This is an excellent recipe!! Commenting with this in case anyone else runs afoul of the sourness.
Made this version of the posted recipe and it was really yummy and balanced well. Cheers!
I am not a Whiskey drinker but wanted to try some for Christmas. This recipe was so good! This Is my new favorite drink. The flavors all work SO well together. I used salted caramel flavored Whiskey = Yum!
So good! I added more than a pinch of cinnamon and a couple maraschino cherries!
